Healthcare Professionals

Mental health for healthcare workers.

You’re looking after everyone else, but who’s looking after you? Healthcare professionals are, for obvious reasons, near and dear to my heart. I believe we have unique situations that need specialized care, and I’m happy to serve fellow professionals while they work hard to serve others.

Common Topics.

Pandemic Trauma

If only we had a dollar for every time we’ve heard the phrase: “These are unprecedented times…”

Cliché as it is, these are unique times for our generation and our profession specifically. Anxiety, depression, and PTSD are showing up in our lives in new ways, and many of us are unsure of how to live with this. I am passionate about supporting you in this time, and helping find the right medication to get you through this.

Boundaries + Balance

We go to work to serve others, then we come home and often serve others. Sometimes, people in our lives feel we have a higher capacity for caring, so they run to us to solve life’s problems. And we may tell our patients and clients about setting boundaries, but setting our own? Different story.

I’m here to be that advocate for you to set - and maintain - healthy boundaries for yourself. We’ll work together to set goals and make a plan for you to maintain control over your life.

Compassion Fatigue

Our jobs often require us to give so much of ourselves, and to be the caretaker for so many. This is what we call “burnout” or “compassion fatigue.”

You are not alone in feeling apathetic or exhausted! These feelings are normal, and common within our profession. My job is to help you combat the many symptoms of this, so you can find the spark in life again.

Vicarious Trauma

When we’re inundated by others’ traumatic experiences, it is no wonder that we have a difficult time not carrying that weight ourselves. In every lane of the healthcare profession, we are in unique positions to help others - but oftentimes, we dismiss the fact that these stories and situations being shared with us can leave lasting impressions, and can have negative impacts on our daily lives.

I am passionate about being a supportive member of your healthcare team, working together on goals and plans to get through these difficult feelings.
